Prenita Dutt Showcases Her Ceramic Works at the 22nd All India Studio Pottery Exhibition, New Delhi
New Delhi, March 2026 — Artist Prenita Dutt participated in the 22nd All India Studio Pottery Exhibition, held at the esteemed All India Fine Arts & Crafts Society (AIFACS), New Delhi. The exhibition, one of India’s prominent showcases for contemporary ceramic art, brought together studio potters from across the country to present a diverse range of creative expressions in clay.
The exhibition was inaugurated on 10 March 2026 by renowned studio potter Ira Chaudhuri and remained open to the public until 18 March 2026. Hosted at the historic galleries of AIFACS, the show attracted artists, collectors, and art enthusiasts, offering a comprehensive view of evolving trends in studio pottery.
Prenita Dutt, a self-taught artist and a graduate in Psychology from the University of Delhi, presented a body of work that reflects her deep connection with nature and everyday experiences. Her ceramic pieces explored organic forms, textures, and a vibrant visual language, demonstrating an intuitive engagement with the medium of clay.
Her artistic practice is informed not only by her personal explorations but also by her experience as an art facilitator working with adults with disabilities. This has contributed to the sensitivity, spontaneity, and emotional depth visible in her work. In addition to ceramics, Prenita’s watercolour illustrations have been featured in While the Birds Still Sing by acclaimed author Ruskin Bond.
The 22nd edition of the exhibition showcased a wide spectrum of ceramic works, ranging from functional pottery to sculptural installations. It highlighted the versatility of clay as a medium and reflected the individual voices of artists experimenting with techniques, textures, and firing processes.
Prenita Dutt’s participation in this prestigious exhibition marks a significant milestone in her artistic journey and reinforces her presence in the contemporary art landscape.
